Do Your Thoughts Create A Groundhog Day Experience For You?

By Ann Rusnak Leave a Comment

Groundhog Day

Hard to believe the movie "Groundhog Day" will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year. I just love this movie.

The premise of the movie focuses on an arrogant, egotistical, self center weather man named Phil. He feels it’s beneath him to cover Groundhog Day for the 3rd year in a row. He puts no effort or enthusiasm in covering the story and can’t wait to get out of Punxsutawney.  A blizzard leaves him stranded and he must stay overnight. The next morning he wakes up in horror to discover it ground hog day all over again.

He keeps reliving this day over and over and over again while seeing the same people do the same thing EVERY day.

Does Your Life Feel Like You Experience Your Own Groundhog Day?

By now most New Years resolutions, promises and intentions are out the door. Life just seems to grab you and keep you in the same place. When this year ends, many of us will find ourselves pretty much in the same place with very little change.

At first our weather man Phil, played by Bill Murray, comes to realize he is going nowhere and decides to take advantage of the town people for his amusement and entertainment.  After all, he does know what they will all do.

The antics eventually become boring and drives Phil to the brink of depression. He remains stuck here and nothing seems to change no matter what he does. Every morning he wakes up to experience the same day again.

He decides suicide looks like the way to escape. However, after every attempt, he wakes up to hear the same Sonny & Cher song blaring through the clock radio alarm. (warning: do not attempt suicide, can prove fatal. All suicide attempts in the movie were done with professionals and a Hollywood script bringing him back to life)

Our weatherman finally resigns to his fate and accepts the fact he will wake up every morning to relive groundhog day. He changes his mindset and thoughts.

He decides to make the best of his situation. The day isn’t going to change. The people and what they do won’t change. He begins to change himself, the only thing that can change.  He starts with an attitude change. He changes his thoughts. He changes his belief system about this "hick" town and the people living in it.  He evolves into a better person.

(movie spoiler ahead)

Near the end of the movie, He feels happy and full of confidence while enjoying the town festivities. The town honors him, he’s made many friends, improved other people’s lives, becomes an accomplished pianist and ends up with the love of the new producer Rita.

Yes, a new day does finally dawn for him.

What About You?

Often our thoughts and belief systems keep creating the same outcome over and over again that it can feel like groundhog day. Nothing seems to change.

Tonight when you go to bed will you wake up to your own groundhog day again ?

Today, just like in the movie, groundhog Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow thus predicting six more weeks of winter. No early spring.

Why not take the next six weeks to change one habit, replace one thing in your belief system or change one thought. Make the best of your current situation knowing you possess the power to alter it’s outcome.

Let me know below what is the one thing you’ll change over the next six weeks to end your groundhog day experiences.

[Money Mindset Challenge] Day 10 – Self Worth and Net Worth

By Ann Rusnak Leave a Comment
Self Worth Money

"People love to give me money because I add value to their lives"

What a wonderful affirmation!

People often interchange the word value and self worth… there is a difference.

Worth:
The quality of a person that lends importance, value and merit. Quality that commands esteem, respect and moral excellence. As a creation of God, you come into this world with self worth. No one can take it away.  It’s always present even if you don’t see it.

Self worth is important to your ultimate happiness.

Value:
That which is rendered desirable or useful… highly regarded.

Developing and sharing your inner treasure, releasing your inner gifts, to improve and enhance the lives around you adds value to what you do.

Your net worth and self worth are interconnected. If you don’t see yourself as worthy person, you’ll dismiss your talents and gifts. You won’t feel like you bring value to what you do.

I talked in detail yesterday about the parallels of your relationship with your money and the relationship with yourself. Listening to the "Wealthy Women" audio, Morgana said when you have a punishing money, you have low self esteem.

What Matters Most is How You See Yourself

Self Belief Self Worth

What Matters Most Is
How You See Yourself.

Low self esteem hides your self worth from you. It’s hidden under a pile of negative garbage so you can’t see it.  Your belief system leaves you feeling unworthy.

You remember where your belief system resides don’t you? (hint read day 7 again)

Your subconscious holds deep within the infinite wisdom, infinite power, infinite supply for everything necessary for the life you truly desire and deserve to live. It’s just waiting for development and expression.

Developing and expression your talents and gifts won’t happen unless you believe in yourself.

You first must believe in yourself and the inner treasure God placed in you.

God (you can use Universe or higher power or what ever suits you) challenges you through money, love and health to get our attention and wake you up.

If allowed, those challenges will tap into your creative mind… the subconscious mind. Your subconscious is never short of ideas. It stands ready with an infinite number of ideas to flow into your conscious mind.

Those ideas from your subconscious can turn into cash in countless ways.

Right now the world revolves around money. You need money to support you in living your divine purpose.  Money is an exchange for the value you add to people lives using your gifts and talents.

Believe in Yourself…

Believe in your Self Worth…

Low self esteem, low confidence and low self respect hides your worth from you.  All three play an important part on how you see your self worth. What you feel and believe on the inside is usually reflected on the outside.

This will translate to your net worth.

The Self Empowerment affirmation video can help you with seeing your worth and building up your self esteem and self confidence. (This is part of my Free Self Empowerment Kit)

Self Confidence is Key to Releasing Your Unlimited Potential

By Ann Rusnak 1 Comment

Does it seem like success seems to elude you no matter what you do? Many beliefs you hold about success keeps you constantly struggling to make significant changes in your life.

Self Confidence for Success

Nothing is more rewarding in life
than releasing your unlimited potential
and leading a creative, abundant life

The most common thing we hear about success is that it’s a journey… like it’s something you need to get. Success is taught as a future destination. This approach to success often creates frustration and disappointment.

Why Success is Not A Journey or Destination

Every one of us… including YOU, comes into this world with everything you need to succeed… to realize your full potential.

Imagine you were born successful. Each and every one of us possesses gifts to share with the world. These gifts make you unique. It is the REAL you.

Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, says "Somewhere in your make-up there lies sleeping, the seed of achievement which, if aroused and put into action, would carry you heights, such as you may never hoped to attain.

Just as a musician may cause the most beautiful strains of music to pour forth from the strings of a violin, so may you arouse the genius which les asleep in your brain, and cause it to drive you upward to whatever goal you may which to achieve."

That’s why you get frustrated and feel success alludes you… you’re looking for it in the wrong place… you’re looking outside yourself.

It’s not about "Getting" success… it’s about becoming aware of the success already within you.

That awareness starts with your perception of yourself. The image you hold of yourself.

Nothing is more rewarding in life
than releasing your unlimited potential
and leading a creative, abundant life.

Psychologists say there is tremendous power in Self-Confidence. Very successful people possess abundant self confidence. You must have high self confidence to release and live a successful life.

What is Self Confidence?

Belief in oneself backed by dynamic aggressive action that lets others know the belief in oneself

The quality with which the mind is recharged and made positive

It’s contagious, it’s impelling, it’s persuasive and it attracts others

Your self confidence is a reflection of your self esteem. A high self esteem is an universal common denominator of excellence. It’s a releasing mechanism that allows your potential to flow easily and freely. Your level of self esteem reflects the perception you belief about your own value and worth as a person. Unless you perceive your own true worth as a person, you cannot come close to achieving total self confidence.

Your belief about your value began to develop in the early years of your life. Your present level of self esteem equals the cumulative result of the positive and negative messages your thoughts and feelings deposited in your mind since you were born. You’ve been conditioned since childhood by false concepts, values and beliefs that prevent you from realizing how truly capable and unique you are.

You are born with a high sense of worth and value. Today you may find it hard to believe. You can see self worth in action. Watch the actions and reactions of most children before they become programmed with fear, phobia and limited beliefs.

The Good News is You Can Reprogram Your Subconscious.

One of my favorite quotes comes from the eminent philosopher and psychologist William James: "The greatest discovery of our age has been that we by changing the inner aspects of our thinking can change the outer aspects of our lives"

WOW! that is powerful. All you need to do is change your thoughts.

When you learn to master "YOU"… you master everything else.

When I was recovering from the memories of childhood abuse, one the tools my therapist gave to me to rebuild my self esteem was writing positive affirmations. Positive Affirmations are your strongest confidence builders.

Using positive affirmations for self confidence can be an effective way to transform any negative beliefs and self talk into positive beliefs.

Self Confidence Positive Affirmations

  • I rise above all limitations

  • I trust in myself
  • I can do anything I set my mind to do
  • I like myself better each day
  • I am a winner
