"The majority of people are ready to throw their aim and purpose overboard and give up at the first sign of opposition or misfortune.
Persistence is an essential factor in the procedure of transmuting desire into its monetary equivalent. The basis of persistence is the power of will.
Will power and desire when properly combined make an irresistible pair. It insures the attainment of their objectives." ~Napoleon Hill: Think and Grow Rich
Think and Grow Rich follows thirteen steps toward riches with the eighth step as Persistence.
Persistence: The SINGLE important catalyst that decides whether your dreams will remain fables or become your reality.
Persistence means overcoming personal doubts. You push out the fear and doubt even when you’re not 100% sure. You make the best personal/business decision you can with the information you have.
Don’t be afraid of making a mistake and when you do, forgiving yourself is very important. (go back over lesson 16 – Healing Through Forgiving)
Stay Persistent on the Vision
If you stay persistent on the methods, steps and techniques, you may discover you’re not experiencing any breakthroughs.
It’s important to step back and evaluate to see if you’re getting the results you desire.
And if you aren’t getting the results you wanted, then you would need to change the steps you took.
Successful people do stay persistent about holding on to their vision, dream and/or goal. They are not persistent about the methods they take to get to their goal. All along the way, they embraces flexibility and experiment to see what techniques and strategies worked best to get where they wanted to go.
So always keep your focus and persistence on the end the result.
