A clear vision of what you want will keep you focused on your desired outcome. Writing that vision triggers your brain’s reticular activating system making you more aware of want.
At the core of your brain stem, you’ll find a collection of neurons called the reticular formation. These neurons receive input from most of your body’s sensory systems (eg sight, smell, taste, etc) and other parts of the brain, such as the cerebellum and cerebral hemispheres.
Some neurons from the reticular formation project to meet motor neurons of your spinal cord and influence functions such as cardiovascular and respiratory control.
Now the fun part… Another group of neurons projects into most of your brain forming a network of nerve cells in the brainstem called the reticular activating system.
The Power Of The Reticular Activating System (RAS)
The reticular activating system (RAS) plays an important role in Arousing and Consciousness. It influences wakefulness (Sleep/Wake Cycle) overall degree of arousal and maintaining and regulating consciousness.
Visual and acoustical stimuli and mental activities stimulate the Reticular Activating System to maintain attention and alertness.
Writing your vision crystallizes your thinking and stimulates RAS making you more aware and conscious of them.
The more detail you put to your dreams the quicker you attract what you need to make them a reality. The more detail you put to your dreams the quicker you attract what you need to make them a reality. Visualizing, smelling, tasting, hearing, and feeling your aspirations stimulates RAS to heighten awareness and consciousness.
You become more conscious of resources, people, information, and opportunities to bring your dreams into reality. Your success will begin to snowball.
Invest time this week and write out your dreams and see what happens.
