During this series, we explored your treasure chest (self-worth)… the inner treasure within you. We talked about the rough gemstones (self-confidence), natural pearls (self-esteem) and silver pieces (self-love).

You may notice your treasure chest contains, silver, gems, and pearls but no gold.

Gold Doubloons…

Any treasure chest of great value contains gold. Gold holds a special place in history and human development. This rare sun yellow metal is the only metal that will not tarnish or rust.

Gold’s value appreciates over time…It can be saved and retrieved much later with the predictability of its value. If you want gold in your treasure chest, you must put it there. That’s because you must acquire them by using your gifts.

Gold doubloons represent self-empowerment… the value YOU bring to the world.

When talking about self-empowerment, I want to caution you about potentially confusing the words ‘worth’ and ‘value.‘ They don’t mean the same thing.”

Worth:
“According to the dictionary,‘worth’ is The quality of a person that lends importance, value, and merit. As a creation of God, you come into this world with self-worth. No one can take it away… although you might not see it in yourself.

Self-worth is important to your ultimate happiness.

‘Value’ is different.

It is That which is rendered desirable or useful…highly regarded.

Owning your self-worth empowers you.

Here is my meaning of the word empower…

You express your potential by developing and sharing your treasure. When you release your inner gifts to improve and enhance the lives around you it add value to what you do.

There are many ways you add significance to others’ lives for the better: such as using your talents, by encouraging others, applying her resources to make money and by being there for somebody else.

This is how gold is added to your inner treasure.

Hiding your Inner Magical Essence™ deprives the world. Theauthentic, unique aspects of your being, your gifts, and talents, a loving nature or simply our true thoughts, are our gift to the world.

Ignoring and denying your true nature, your Magical Essence™, causes stress, anxiety, frustration, and depression. Often leaving you feeling something is missing in your life.

The emptiness and unfulfillment come from the lack of gold in your treasure.

I love this quote by Steve Bow, a corporate executive, and want to share it with you.

God’s gift to us is more talent and ability than we’ll ever hope to use in our lifetime. Our gift to God is to develop as much of that talent and ability as we can in this lifetime.

Low self-esteem, low confidence and not loving yourself completely hides your worth from you.  If you feel worthless, you won’t see the greatness that is in you.

It’s not always easy to see those things in ourselves. Not seeing or recognizing your talent can cause frustration in trying to live a life of purpose.

Simply by changing your internal thinking and owning your worthiness, you can boost your self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-love.

This series was an idea given to me in the wee hours of the morning many years ago. It became the beginning of my book, The Journey to ME. You go on a journey with the main character Marie and together to rid yourself of those limiting beliefs making you feel worthless and discover how to develop your potential. To be the person God intended for you to become.
